Week 15 Research Kyle Dann

Thomas Vilot graduated from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia) in 1989. He has always been intrigued by the fusion of arts and technology. He uses his computer screen to create his images and it is where he starts his process. Thomas will then turn his computer work onto large-sized canvas or paper. He is known to be more of a conventional artist than people may think. Thomas's canvas prints are created from traditional brush and oil techniques. He does a wonderful job blending colors together to give the background more life. I like the way that he usually has some sort of object or design in the middle for people to be drawn to. The painting might look simple, but the minor details that Thomas includes in his pieces bring the entire painting together. I like the way he can connect all sorts of colors together to give the painting some sort of theme.
