intro to computer art
Peter McLane, was born in 1945 in Chamonix, France, initially gained fame as a singer, winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972 and releasing fifteen records during a 25-year career in stage and TV. Alongside his musical success, he harbored a passion for painting. Celebrating 27 years in digital art since 1987, Peter collaborated with major companies like Dassault and Sony Music. Working from his Paris studio, he combined roles as a researcher and technician, earning recognition. His dreamlike digital artworks, developed over thousands of layers, received international acclaim and numerous rewards. Peter launched the first Multimedia exhibition at the Paris Fair in 1999, introducing visionary work on plasma screens. Recognized as a Master of digital painting at the Museum of Computer Art in New York, he also participated in the digital art section at the Florence Biennale in 2009. Now back from the United States, Peter presents his latest digital paintings, exclusively created and certified on canvas.
the reason why i choose this painting was because over the summer i went to italy and i went to milan and venice and i really really enjoyed venice. it was something so magical to me and something i thought i would only ever see in movies and when i saw it in person it was something so surreal and it was just a great experience. this painting reminded me of how beautiful venice was and thats the reason i decided to make my research on this piece.
