Week 13 Research Assignment

The digital artist that I decided to research for the 13th week is Sibel Sancar! Sibel is a Turkish computer software programmer (Industrial Engineer) and a painter; she began painting in 1990 and continues her studies in her home studio. She paints with watercolor and acrylic media and is also a digital artist. She has six solo and various group exhibitions and has been working on digital art for over ten years. She joined ARTROM Gallery's "In Peace Project" in 2004 (Rome), the NAFA International Painting Competition in 2004 (Brazil), Upstream People Gallery's 8th Annual Abstraction Art Exhibition in 2006(USA) and IMMAGINE&POESIA as a Turkey Representative in 2009 (Italy). Sibel Sancar has earned multiple awards and placings over the years, such as:
  • 2012 Exhibitions Without Walls - OPEN (Digital Art) Best in Competition
  • 2013 Exhibitions Without Walls - Your Choice (Digital Art) Best in Competition
  • 2012/2013 manhattanarts.com "Featured Artist" Award-Winner

  • 2015-2022 Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery (LST) various exhibitions
Sibel's exhibited works are fractal art and were made with the Mandelbulb 3D program (2022).
Unfortunately, I could not find much else about Sibel Sancar personally, nor could I find any websites that belong to Sibel Sancar. There are only a couple of social media pages that are hers.
