Week 13 Research Assignment (Toby M)

    This week, I chose the artist KKC Bauder. She began her career over 20 years ago as a traditional painter. But, as time passed, she fell in love with digital art. Bauder is a full-time second-generation artist in the field of digital painting and she uses a combination of digital painting and digital sculpting. Working from Texas, she has her own studio and also provides workshops for young people interested in art. "I create abstracts ranging in style from figurative art to digital rock" (Bauder). For Bauder, as fame hit her, the art she has made has been collected in both the US and Europe and also has been on exhibit in many galleries in Florida, Texas, and Germany. 

    As I chose this artist, the colors in this painting are very vibrant and stand out so choosing a piece of art was easy. As I was going through her gallery, she has a lot more paintings like this. In my opinion, it reminds me of the whitecaps of the ocean waves. I also like how it's symmetrical on both sides. To paint symmetrically, it must be a hard task to get everything right.
