Week 11 Research

 The work below is from Lee Muslin. Though her website doesn't include where she was born or if she's educated, it does show her inspiration, which is swing dancing while also being an introvert. She goes on to explain how her abstract work is a direct artistic representation of the music she dances to or even listens to while painting. In this collection though, found on MOCA, she uses her own photographs of nature and natural beauty and overlays them to create great art. The piece I picked below, called "Tree of Life". It depicts a blossom tree as the main subject, with streams of mist and a very aesthetic sky with clouds above it. It is a very angelic piece of art, and it I love its softness and how easy it is to look at.
