Week 11 Research

For week 11, I chose the artist Adam Martinakis! I’m really excited about Adam’s work because there is just something so surreal and intriguing about his art style. Adam was born in Poland in 1972, he is of polish and Greek descent. He moved to Athens Greece in 1982, and studied interior architecture, decorative arts, and industrial design in Athens. Since 2000 he has been working with computer generated visual media. He works with 3d rendered and animated media, animation, digital sculpture, digital video, and visual media. He has taught at several institutes teaching digital arts & design, graphics, interior design and ceramic design as well. Adam lives and works in Poland, Greece, and the United Kingdom! I was drawn to his art for the usage of color, depth, and symbolism behind the art he creates. I really feel he does each piece of work with a passion because it shows that he enjoys what he creates. i got excited looking through his work online because there are so many different styles he does but they all seem to tie into each other in a way. Adam says “I shape ideas and ideas shape me.” I truly believe that statement because these pieces of work just evoke a sense of emotion that is so strong. I have linked below his blogspot, it is definitely worth taking a look, there are some incredible pieces but I find all of his work fascinating.
