week 8 lisle drake

     Lisle Drake, living in the Texas Hill Country, she is an artist who believes in the magic of turning ordinary things into extraordinary creations. She's been an artist for a long time, using different materials like pen and ink and fabric techniques. Since 1985, she's been using computers in her work, starting with a Mac Classic. What makes Lisle different from other artist is that she gets her ideas from dreams. Her dreams often follow a series and can last for years. which makes me wonder what would happen if she stopped dreaming? Each time she has a dream, she finds new ideas, which she carefully records in sketchbooks or digital files. These ideas become the building grounds for her final artworks. The reason I chose this artist is because i read her biography and it caught my attention on how she uses her dreams for her artwork and if this is true i saw her art work and it made me wonder in what dream does she see this type of image. i want to know the background information in her artwork. i also wished that she explained her dreams a little in depth to give information about her artwork. Im not sure if this artwork is supposed to be a scary dream or a just weird dream or something like that it makes me interested in her imagination.
