Week 7 Research Assignment

 

 

The artist I chose this week is named San Base. He was born in 1956 in the Soviet Union and he grew up to have an interest in math and computer technology. His art style is very unique; it took him eight years to develop and perfect. He feels like each of his pieces have a different theme. In his process, he creates a basic idea of the picture, colors, and principles. Then he uploads it to a computer where the AI will make the picture more individual and add more options and variations. He said "the picture is living its own life..."

I find his artwork very unique and creative and I love how he explains his process. The picture I uploaded is called Pompei, and I definitely see a resemblance to the event of Pompei. While you can see a similarity in each of his pictures, they are still very different from one another. A link to his website can be found here.
