Week One Assignment

 

For my first assignment I chose the artist Nancy Baker Cahill. She looks at the systematic power and selfhood mainly in her pieces. She founded the free AI platform for artists for inclusive creative power and passion. The piece states it is "Art for Earths Sake" which I thought was really empowering, using what is the real world in the background of the AI and photoshopped mushroom bomb in the front to raise awareness for what is going on in the world today. I also thought this piece was interesting because it has 2 more artists in collaboration with her, Glenn Kaino who worked hand in hand with her to make it and Charlotte Kent who moderated the piece to clean it up and take away problems that are created by tech.
