Week 4 Research Assignment

For this week, I chose to go with the artist Christopher John Hobby. He described himself as a practicing artist and has done many types of pieces in different styles. he has done sculptural, mosaic, textile, and stained glass art. He even did a presentation for Queen Elizabeth in 1998 to show one of his stained glass sculptures! The image I have chosen below is that of a mandala he drew, and his interest in mandalas is said to be spiritual. He draws the mandalas himself, as he has drawn thousands of mandalas which I find really fascinating. His art has also been viewed on television, in different publications, and in galleries. Unfortunately, the link to his other work couldn't be accessed, but he has a great exhibit on MOCA of his mandalas which are very pleasant to see.
