Paul Piorkowski - Week 6 Research Assignment

The artist I chose to share this week is Magali Villeneuve. Villeneuve was born on March 18th, 1980 in Bordeaux, France. and currently lives in Bruyères, France. She is completely self-taught, and began professional illustration in 2006. Originally she painted, but eventually made a full switch to digital art, although I was unable to find what software she uses to make her art. She has done work for many companies, including Fantasy Flight Games, Cygames, Random House, Del Ray, Titan Publishing Group, and most importantly, Games Workshop and Wizards of the Coast.

The artwork I chose to share is titled Ravager of the Fells, and is the art used for a printing of a Magic: the Gathering card of the same name, originally used in the set From the Vault: Transform:
